Theresa Anne Simanski Saturday, November 6, 1965 - Saturday, August 5, 2017

LaVale, MD – Theresa Anne Simanski, 51, of LaVale, MD, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
 
Born November 6, 1965, in Cumberland, MD, Mrs. Simanski was the daughter of the late Paul Dignan and Nancy (Kline) Dignan.  She was also preceded in death by a sister: Mary Ann Foreman; and a brother: Stevie Dignan.
 
Theresa attended Saint Patrick’s Catholic Grade School through the eighth grade and graduated from Allegany High School, Class of 1983.  A homemaker, she was a wonderful and dedicated wife and mother.  Theresa always put her family needs before hers.  She enjoyed spending time with them especially going to amusement parks and going sky diving.  Theresa will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  She put up a strong and courageous battle.  We now know that she is perfect again, with her Lord and Savior and that we will see her again.  We Love you!
 
Theresa is survived by her husband of 23 years: David E. Simanski; her children: Michael Simanski; and Katie Simanski; and a stepson: David Simanski, II.  She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters: Jeanie Bechtol and husband, Gary; Paul Dignan and wife, Carla; Mark Dignan and wife, Janet: Greg Dignan; Tony Dignan; Chris Dignan; Mike Dignan; John Dignan; Virginia Snyder and husband, Kerry: Renee McCullough; and Matt Dignan and wife, Brook; and her brother-in-law: Harry “Tex” Foreman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
 
A funeral service will be conducted at the Mount Hope United Methodist Church, 258 Mount Hope Road, South Fork, PA, on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at 11:00 A.M.  The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service. 
 
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, South Fork, PA.
 
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the friends and family that have helped and supported Theresa over the years, especially, Danielle, Vicki, Clarissa, Tarrah, Ginny, Renee, Matt, and Brook, and to the Third Floor Nursing Staff at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.
