Michael Jay Rose Sunday, March 12, 1967 - Sunday, April 30, 2017

LaVale, MD – Michael Jay Rose, 50, of LaVale, MD, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his home.
 
Born March 12, 1967, in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Rose was the son of the late Eugene Bruce Rose and Ada Louise (Rudd) Rose.
 
A graduate of Perry High School, Perry, GA, Michael was an accomplished musician and lead guitarist with the band “Outer Limits” in Augusta, GA.  His whole life involved music.  His favorite pastime was to drive around the mountains.
 
Michael is survived by his brothers: Bruce Rose, Perry, GA; William Rose and wife, Karen, Knoxville, TN; Daniel Rose and wife, Jayne, LaVale, MD; and Dennis Rose and wife, Mary, Myrtle Beach, SC; his best friend: Paul Thomas, Perry, GA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Friday, May 5, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
 
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Wayne Turner officiating.
 
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery, Fort Ashby, WV.

I remember listening to him play at his trailer in Augusta,GA.Such a terrible loss.RIP my friend.

Mike was a Great Friend & Co Worker for a while.always thought of him as family.he will be missed .he always put a smile on my face with that big laugh.

Prayers for all! Mikey touched so many lives and will remain in my heart forever. I was honored to stand left of him on any stage while he made that guitar sing. Micheal was a very close friend of mine n I loved him like a brother. He always had a smile n was awesome to be around with a great sense of humor. We lost touch over the past few years n I'm deeply saddened by his passing. I will always cherish the times we spent together n will forever miss you my friend. Rock on my brother n I'll see you in the other side..

We are saddened by the passing of Michael! He was a close friend of my sons, Danny and Scott Griffin for years! I loved Michael too! He was such a sweet person and an amazingly talented guitarist!! He also had a great sense of humor! We had alot of good times with Michael back in the day!! We pray for comfort and peace for Michael's family and we will always cherish the memories and times that we had with Michael when he was in Augusta!

My life is better for having a friend named Michael Rose. He was a remarkable person from his unbelievable talent to his love of people. I've missed him since the last day I seen him and never will stop. I look forward to seeing him again one day and I will tell him how many people loved him, but I'm sure he knew. Rest my friend. What a great man you are. Prayers to your family and friends. May they receive some comfort at this time of loss.
