To the Alan H. Porter family,

Very sorry to read about the passing of Alan.  He was a great person and certainly loved the outdoors.  Having researched and surveyed his property many years ago, I am familar with his farm and very aware of how he treasured the land and took care of it.  I had just recently been thinking of him and wondered how he was doing.  When my son was young, I floated him up the creek in a canoe at Alan's invitation.  Although his physical presence is gone, the memories will live on forever.  My sincere sympathy to the family.  John

My deepest condolences to the Porter Family. Alan was a great man and a father figure to me and taught me many things. He will be missed

Sharon I am so very very sorry to hear about Alan. I had a feeling that something was wrong when you didn't show up for the luncheon and I never heard from you. I should have called you much sooner but didn't try until yesterday. I don't check my Facebook too often but this evening I just happened to look at it and saw Crystals comments about Alan. I was shocked and feel so sad for your loss. Love you Sharon and God bless you.
